Sagem
Sagem Défense Sécurité has recently won a contract following an international tender to supply 17 infrared search and track (IRST) systems to the Australian navy. The systems will be used for the country’s ANZAC frigates anti-ship missile defense (ASMD) program.
As the premier third-generation IRST of its kind, the VAMPIR NG will improve significantly the survivability of the ship against any air threats, in particular anti-ship missiles. It is also effective against asymmetric threats present in coastal areas.
